Roster: Monday to Friday (flexible hours, with childcare creche available in the Perth office).

Reporting to the Superintendent Long Term Planning, the Long-Term Planner – NPI / Water Management, will work closely with cross-functional teams to mature and embed Long-Term Planning practices, supporting the Asset and Materials Management division of the Fortescue business. This position is responsible for the management of maintenance strategy, spares and component forecasting, along with the associated financial budgeting and forecasting. This role is critical to ensuring that our operations run smoothly and optimize long term resource utilization, minimizing downtime. Your ability to balance multiple priorities, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and anticipate and mitigate risks will contribute to the continued success of Fortescue’s ambitious long-term projects.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in maintenance strategy reviews and provide support to the reliability engineering team with improvementsSupport development and update of annual Opex and Capex budgetsReport impacts on budget and resourcing levels resulting from new/modified maintenance strategiesGenerate forecast reports and conduct forecast lookahead meetings with operational teamsAnalyse work management data to identify improvement opportunitiesManage all SAP master data notifications and change requests related to Work Management planning, scheduling and executionSupport with spares forecasting strategy / component forecastingSupport generation of parts cataloguing and inventory additions to enable maintenance strategies
Qualifications And Experience
Mechanical or electrical trade or an appropriate tertiary qualificationSolid experience in Mining/Heavy Industrial maintenance planning environmentAdvanced SAP experience with proficiency in setting up and managing SAP master data structures and maintenance strategiesA sound understanding of financial processes in relation to maintenance activities such as labour and materials costing and forecastingKnowledge of NPI and Water Management related assets, their failure modes, and maintenance strategiesExperience with reliability techniques such as Failure Modes, Effects and Critical Analysis (FMECA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
