We are unwavering in our commitment to delivering exceptional quality produce every time The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Fitter, located are our packing facility in Penfield Gardens, SA. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and optimal performance of all equipment within the processing facility. The role involves executing the site’s preventative maintenance programs and promptly addressing breakdowns, leveraging your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to swiftly diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Monday - Friday | Day Shift Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of all equipment to ensure smooth production operationsConduct preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with established schedules to minimise downtimeDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to resolve issues efficientlyAssist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of new machinery and equipmentEnsure compliance with food safety standards, quality control, and industry regulations during all maintenance activitiesMaintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements, using MEX or similar systemsPerform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required (e.g., MIG, TIG, and Stick welding)Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily availableContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including the implementation of Lean practices What We Are Looking For Relevant trade qualificationsPrior experience in a food production environment is highly desirable.Strong fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, and Stick welding)Experience in hydraulics and pneumaticsPrevious experience using MEX, or similar CMMSSolid understanding of Lean principlesCapacity to work in strict compliance with WHS guidelinesStrong troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to teamworkExtensive experience in fault-finding and rapid breakdown response Why Choose Mitolo Family Farms?
