Maintenance Handyperson

About the role

The Rose by Moran is a boutique retirement living village located in Wahroonga, comprising of 33 premium apartments and a wide range of community facilities.

 We are seeking an experienced and reliable maintenance person to attend to all maintenance, gardening requirements to ensure the village is kept in premium condition.

 The maintenance person will have a solid and broad understanding of all aspects of village maintenance, gardening and Health and Safety regulations.

 Tasks and Responsibilities

Assist residents moving in and out of the village

Provide a clean and safe environment that promotes person centred care

Undertake all reactive and preventative maintenance requirements throughout village.

Maintain gardens including weeding, irrigation and lawn mowing

Maintain Pool and records of water testing

Manage all village services and systems ie gas, water, electricity, communications etc

Organise appropriate trades as required including site induction

Manage relationships with contractors

Arrange furniture and room setups for resident functions

Move rubbish bins for collection and return

Drive village bus

 About you

Passionate about caring for older people and have the ability to ignite the same in others

Previous experience in maintenance of residential settings

Possess excellent communication and time management skills

Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Flexible in responding to resident’s choice and changing needs

Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised
