We have an exciting opportunity to work at Box Hill Institute as our Maintenance Office (Electrician). This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity based at our Box Hill Campus. This position reports directly to the Lead Maintenance Officer, and sits within the Infrastructure work area of the Chief Operating Officer division.

What you'll do:

• Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks to support the efficient and effective delivery of facility operations and soft services
• Respond to work orders
• Conduct maintenance and electrical works
• Oversee the quality of work by maintenance contractors and facility providers
• Provide facilities project support and service delivery for classroom and equipment setup.

Qualifications and experience:

• Trade certificate, coupled with experience as an Electrician in facility operations.
• Level 2 First Aid certification is desirable or a willingness to undertake it at the earliest opportunity.
• Current Driver's License.
• Forklift licence is desirable or a willingness to undertake it at the earliest opportunity (BHI can provide training)
• High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing high quality, accurate correspondence and reports to stakeholders
• Proficiency in using common and job-specific software applications, specifically a Work Order Management System.
• Experience in carrying out a variety of maintenance/electrical tasks and overseeing the quality and performance of external service providers.
