About the Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, we are seeking an experienced hands on Maintenance Officer to join our team at Allity Little Para Aged Care on a Fulltime basis working 76 hours per fortnight.

You will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs are carried out safely in an effective and timely manner.  

You will also be involved in projects, equipment replacement and budget preparation.

Your strong relationship skills with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.

To be successful, you will have

  • Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
  • Complete a NDIS workers check and/or Police check 
  • Flu Vaccination (or willingness to obtain during flu season)
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
  • General maintenance skills such as painting, plastering, equipment repairs, minor plumbing & electrical issues and grounds maintenance.
  • Understanding of fire and safety compliance 
  • Current drivers licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound documentation and computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff
  • Strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Strong passion for working with the elderly and dedication to professional growth
