We are a well-respected construction firm specialising in complete projects of all types. We have grown our business by placing a great emphasis on delivering the highest level of service to achieve and exceed customer expectations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance & Quality Manager (experienced all round Handy Man) to join our team to provide an ongoing onsite warranty and maintenance care package to our completed projects. 

Some key responsibilities include:  

  • Overall responsibility for planning and coordinating of all warranty and maintenance activities on completed project sites.

  • Ability to read construction plans.

  • Working closely with the Construction Director & Contract Manager in managing the warranty and maintenance care program.

  • Use developed trade-based skills to rectify defects and related consequential site works.

  • Conduct post-completion inspections.

  • Able to apply all round technical knowledge to achieve satisfactory solutions or alternatives that meet relevant code requirements and/or Standards and Tolerances.

  • Ability to liaise with sub-contractors, consultants, service provider's council departments, when required.

  • Complete all OHS and site administrative responsibilities in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Maintain effective communication with Head Office on all site related matters.

  • Extensive knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in managing maintenance activities on a commercial project site.

  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and various stakeholders.

  • Plan, organize, or direct construction maintenance under your control.

  • Review work sites to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and/or other regulations and site safety requirements.

 The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Specialist in commercial construction:

  • Good communication skills in order to deal with tenants and homeowners effectively.

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to commit long term.

  • Full Driving license.

  • Formal Construction qualifications such as Carpentry, Plumbing or Electrical.

  • Minimum 5 years in the commercial construction industry as a qualified tradesperson.

  • Current L2 First Aid and CPR.

  • Microsoft Suite of Software – Outlook, Excel and Word.

  • Procore
