About Our Client:

Our Client is a lively individual who enjoys joking around and does not take life too seriously. He stays active by regularly attending the gym and hydrotherapy sessions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a confident demeanor, a love for board games, and an interest in watching the occasional football game. Flexible availability is an added bonus.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist with personal care tasks and meal preparation.

  • Daily Living Skills: Support the Client in building daily living skills.

  • Community Access: Help the Client attend Allied Health appointments and other planned activities.

Requirements:
  • Valid Licence and Vehicle: A valid driver's licence, registered vehicle, and comprehensive insurance are required.

  • Experience with Wheelchairs: The Client is a wheelchair user, so experience with manual handling and a good understanding of powerchairs and manual wheelchairs is essential.

We are looking for a male Disability Support Worker who can assist with supporting this really lovely Client on Friday's from 6:45am to 4:45pm with the potential to pick up additional shifts during the week & on weekends.

QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $34.45, Evening $37.00, Night $38.00, Saturday $47.00, Sunday $60.50, Public Holidays $73.80 - (sorry, rate not negotiable). 

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.

  • To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered

  • Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist

  • Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs

  • Provide support to our Clients as required

  • Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner

  • Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required

  • Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients

  • To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be Successful you must…

  • Resonate with the role description above

  • Hold NDIS worker screening or yellow card (or willingness to obtain)

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card

  • Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (preferred)

  • Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia

  • Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives

  • Hold a police check or be willing to obtain

  • Have manual handling experience (required)

  • Have an open driver’s licence, registered vehicle, and comprehensive insurance (required)
