About QIMR Berghofer:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Brain and Mental Health, and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.

About Your Team:
The Engagement and Advancement team is responsible for fundraising and philanthropy, media, government relations and corporate communications, community engagement and education. Within this team, the brand, marketing and creative services function is responsible for enhancing awareness, engaging key audiences, and supporting revenue generation through brand management, support to fundraising campaigns with the use of digital channels, and creative delivery.

Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
Applications are invited for the position of Manager, Brand, Marketing and Creative Services. This role leads the strategic delivery of QIMR Berghofer’s brand, digital engagement and creative output to build reputation, support fundraising, and increase awareness of the Institute’s impact. You will oversee a small team across brand management, website and content management, and creative services.

The following duties will apply:

• Develop and deliver brand and marketing strategies aligned to research and donor engagement priorities.
• Lead the management and evolution of the Institute’s website, ensuring optimal user experience, content quality, and audience performance.
• Guide the development of compelling creative content and oversee adherence to visual identity and brand standards, including brochures, marketing materials, merchandise, etc.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and support cross-organisational engagement initiatives.
• Drive team development, marketing insights and continuous improvement across all activities.

About You:

You are required to have:

• Significant experience leading brand, marketing and digital functions in complex organisations.
• Strong expertise in website governance, content strategy, SEO and digital performance metrics and reporting.
• Proven skills in managing digital campaigns and CRM-based marketing automation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage brand identity and governance to ensure consistency and grow visibility across all physical and digital assets.
• Experience leading creative and high-performing teams in health, research, higher education, and/or Non-for-Profit settings.

Remuneration: Salary range is $132,998 to $142,709 p.a plus super and generous salary packaging. This is a full-time, permanent appointment.
