Salary: Band 8 with Salary range $143,071.76 - $165,964.24 + Super (leaseback vehicle available)

Public Sector People are proud to be partnering with Ku-ring-gai Council to recruit a dynamic Manager Waste Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team delivering essential waste and environmental services to the local community.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Director Operations, you will manage a multi-disciplinary team responsible for:
• Council’s domestic, commercial and engineering waste services
• FOGO implementation and ongoing operations
• Management of major waste contracts and former landfill sites
• Community education and promotion of waste programs
• Operational planning, budgeting, and continuous service improvement

  
You’ll Bring:

• Degree qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, or related field
• Extensive experience in leading waste operations, contract and project management
• Strong financial management skills with experience overseeing $25M+ budgets
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strategic leadership with a forward-thinking, innovative approach
