Marina Facilities Manager

Position Responsibilities

• Active management of five+ marinas in New South Wales
• Actively searches for and implements opportunities to improve the operational aspects of the Marina 
• Identify opportunities for improved occupancy and space management solutions
• Being proactive in communicating with tenants formally and informally to gain insights, key drivers and understanding of client and tenant needs. 
• Continually develop and implement strategic plans for marina operations and its physical assets 
• Establish clear goals for the marina operations, reporting to management, and implementing these goals with a view to increasing the operation's total revenue 
• Regularly define and review the business requirements and controls to ensure that clients receive the best possible service 
• Develop, implement and evaluate facility maintenance policies and procedures 
• Order and purchase equipment, materials and tools required to perform required maintenance work on marina facilities 
• Monitor proper usage and maintenance of all marina equipment 
• Performs daily checks and coordinates the scheduling of general repair and maintenance to maintain safety and cleanliness standards and to identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement. This may vary in demand day to day but includes general maintenance for any of our current tenants located on site and any berthing/mooring clients 
• Maintain a list of ongoing maintenance issues as reported including current status for monthly reporting. 
• Delegating or assigning maintenance work to appropriate staff or third party contractors, ensuring these tasks are completed on time, within budget and to the required standards 
• Establishes and maintains an inventory system for all resale items and the facility including determining the types of products available for resale, required qualities on-hand, loss prevention measures, vendor contacts, product delivery schedule and ordering responsibilities. 
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of fuelling facility including enforcing all marina facilities rules and regulations 
• Schedules and manages all dockhands in marina related duties such as securing boats, fuel, black water pump outs, and waste disposal. 
• Enacts proper procedures in case of an accident including submitting necessary reports 
• Review, respond to and resolve any and all queries, concerns and complaints relevant to and associated with the marina facilities promptly and efficiently 
   

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or 3 years relevant work experience 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills 
• Sound technical knowledge of Boating and Marine industry
