Marine Electronics Technician

We are looking for a Marine Electronics Technician to join our team with demonstrated experience in installing and commissioning various Marine Electronic systems. 

Working from our workshop at The Boatworks and occasional interstate travel, we are looking for a candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude, a passion for boats and Marine Electronics Systems, from Navigation and Communications to Audio Visual and DC systems.

About the role:

- Work on leisure and commercial vessels of various sizes, on a wide range of marine electronics. 

- Test, diagnose, fault find, problem solve, report findings and advise on a remedy

- Install and commission various electronic and electrical components commonly found on boats

- Complete vessel navigation system electronic fit outs

- You will be expected to work both autonomously and as part of a team

- Able to trouble-shoot and problem solve, in a logical and systematic way

Your Experience:

We expect you to be able to hit the ground running in this busy role.

- Minimum of 5 years experience in Marine Electronics

- Experience and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults in various systems on boats

- Experience with navigation and communication electronics on leisure boats
