The Opportunity

A South Australian family-owned business, we are looking for an experienced tradesperson, or similar, to undertake on-site measures for stone benchtop installation, detailing designs and assessing site readiness prior to installation.

This role would suit a tradesperson or someone who is familiar with reading plans and designs for residential interiors.

Key role activities include:

Ensure designs and selections are correct and accurate during all stages of design, production and installation by cross checking site measurements against relevant documentation.

Ensure details and designs are feasible prior to completing order by checking, footprint of layouts, site readiness & trade preparation, delivery access and material and colour request.

Ensure appliance and cabinetry fit by checking cabinetry and confirming new kitchen appliance specifications.

Ensure design and/or selection changes made are accurately reflected in designs, and that with any change, ensure the builder and/or client are both aware of relevant changes.  The variation must be provided to the builder and/or client as early as practicable, to enable key parties the opportunity to review the change, and acknowledge the review and sign off on change.

Ensure projects are completed on time by ensuring that orders are accurate, complete, and in the appropriate format when sent to production, by communicating issues with the Service and Operations Manager in a timely manner and providing solutions where appropriate.

Communicate work completion and non-completion in required formats.

Identify and implement initiatives to support the continuous improvement of work systems and processes.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A strong understanding of cabinetry design and installation processes
• CAD design experience (essential)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with customers and key stakeholders within the business, and build rapport
• Superior customer service skills
• A keen eye for detail to ensure designs are correct for the installation team
• Experience in the stone benchtop industry (desirable)
