Mechanic

We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join us as a Mechanic Tyrepower Smithton. Salary negotiable depending on experience. If you're mechanically minded, can solve problems, work without supervision and an ability to provide exceptional customer service, this role may be the one for you.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out routine maintenance and servicing on a variety of light vehicles, including cars, vans and small trucks

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults using the latest tools and equipment

• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards, in line with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices

• Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and keeping them informed of progress

• Maintaining detailed records of all work undertaken and parts used

• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

• Current Drivers licence – manual and automatic (essential).

• Prepared to work Monday to Friday and on call as rostered.

• Willingness to adhere to policies and procedures.

• Experience in tyre fitting and wheel balancing.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written).

• Can do attitude, punctual and reliable.

• High attention to detail.

• Strong customer service focus.

• Pride in workmanship.

• Well presented.
