We are exclusively partnering with a prominent Tier 1 Mining Asset Owner, as we seek a seasoned
Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our esteemed team. This unique opportunity involves contributing your expertise to a fixed plant environment within a
Northern Queensland Mine.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of optimising the reliability and performance of mechanical systems, making a significant impact on the overall efficiency of the fixed plant. This is an exciting client-side opportunity, offering a
12:9 FIFO roster for a
12-month contract, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.
Key Accountabilities: - Develop and implement reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) strategies for mechanical systems to enhance overall reliability.
- Lead analyses of failure modes and conduct root cause analyses to inform maintenance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the performance of mechanical assets within fixed plant environments.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques to proactively address potential mechanical equipment failures.
- Develop and manage detailed maintenance plans for mechanical systems, coordinating with operations to minimize downtime during planned shutdowns.
- Provide technical expertise in the planning and execution of maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with reliability goals.
- Implement and oversee condition-based monitoring programs for critical mechanical assets, utilizing data analysis for proactive maintenance interventions.
- Integrate advanced monitoring technologies to enhance early detection of potential mechanical equipment issues.
- Lead investigations into mechanical equipment failures, conducting thorough root cause analyses and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to failure analyses and improvement plans.
About You: - Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Reliability background in a mining environment
- Demonstrated experience leading failure investigation projects; utilising root cause analysis techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
