As the Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role providing assistance to the operational staff with maintenance scheduling, plant improvement projects, root cause analysis of failures and plant performance reporting.
This is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package including base salary + 11.5% superannuation.
Main Responsibilities
- Review breakdown events and determine root causes and preventative actions/upgrades
- Generate, review and modify maintenance plans as required by the Operations Team
- Scope potential continuous improvement projects and present to the Management Team
- Assist the Maintenance team with scheduling and scoping of plant shutdowns
- Assist Production and Maintenance Staff with purchase orders and requisitions
- Undertake monthly critical spares inventory stock takes
- Generate monthly plant performance reports that include plant KPIs - Reliability, Availability, Specific Energy Costs
About you
- Understand and generate drawings
- Demonstrate experience working within a continuous manufacturing environment
- Have prior experience using a computerised Maintenance Management System
- Demonstrate experience undertaking maintenance activities in a heavy industry environment
- Possess strong communication skills to communicate across all levels of the business
- Proficient in MS Office, including Project
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or relevant tertiary studies
