ABOUT YOU:
To be considered for this role, you should:
- Be currently studying or have recently graduated in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Have a foundational knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering principles
- Be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Be available for a minimum of 3 days per week
LEARNING OUTCOMES: During your internship, you may gain experience in:
- Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to enhance safety and performance
- Developing, testing, and evaluating theoretical and prototype designs
- Managing engineering projects using standardized principles and methodologies
- Planning and designing new production processes and system layouts
- Producing detailed specifications, schematics, and outline designs
- Recommending improvements based on prototype testing and data analysis
- Applying skills in mathematical modelling and computer-aided design (CAD)
- Evaluating factors such as cost, safety, efficiency, and time constraints
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams within and outside the engineering domain
- Monitoring, testing, and commissioning plant equipment and mechanical systems
