Process Plant Network Pty Ltd, a proudly Australian-owned and operated business in Dandenong, Victoria established for over 30 years, is seeking highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join our growing team.
We employ a dedicated team of specialised engineers and technicians who collaborate on unique and challenging projects primarily within the food processing and packaging industries.
Due to our continued expansion and increasingly sophisticated equipment, we require an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician who can accurately interpret technical manuals and schematics, conduct mechanical testing, and assist in system development.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Conducting mechanical tests, collecting data, performing detailed analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports to support engineering decisions.
- Assisting in the design, development, assembly, and refinement of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshooting mechanical systems, diagnosing faults, and effectively resolving complex issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborating closely with engineers, engineering technologists, and other technicians on projects, providing essential technical support.
- Installing, commissioning, and maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery in accordance with Australian mechanical, safety, and quality standards.
- Preparing detailed technical documentation and maintaining accurate records of equipment performance, tests, and maintenance activities.
- Providing customer support and conducting onsite visits nationwide for servicing, troubleshooting, and user training.
Qualifications & experience
- A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant professional experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician or similar.
- Demonstrated practical expertise in mechanical testing, diagnostics, installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven capability in accurately interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ability to safely handle basic and specialised hand and power tools (e.g., hand drill, grinder, hydraulic press, pneumatic tools, welding machine).
- Certification or experience in operating lifting equipment such as Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Scissor Lift, Forklift Licence, and Working at Heights training (highly advantageous).
- Previous experience working with machinery and equipment in the food processing and packaging industry is desirable.
