Mechanical Installation Supervisor

AMS Mechanical Projects VIctoria is seeking the services of an experienced Mechanical Installation Supervisor to join our team. We work primarily in commercial fit out in and around the CBD.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Manage the relationship with the client, consultants and builders
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers & subcontractors
• Monitor work of employees and subcontractors to ensure projects conform to safety, quality, plans, specifications, schedules, or budgets. 
• Provide assistance to electricians, installers, technicians, and laborers.
• Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of projects. 
• Order materials from suppliers and coordinate deliveries of materials
• Project Site visits to determine project needs, requirements, or specifications. 
• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with client’s site managers and project managers
• Coordinating and supervising installers, plumbers, electricians, technicians, trade assistants and apprentices. 
• Checking and preparing site reports, OHS, designs and drawings
• Problem solving
• Negotiating contracts and securing permits and licenses
• Daily responsibilities also include ensuring safe working conditions, maintaining high quality standards, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Experience / Qualifications / Attributes Required:

• Previous experience in mechanical services supervision preferably site or service supervision experience.
• White Card
• Current driver's license
• Police Clearance less than 3 months old
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong commitment & ability to work in a team.
