We are seeking a talented MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR to join a shutdown work in WA this May.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and manage the installation, maintenance, and inspection of structural, mechanical, and piping systems.
Ensure all work complies with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Review contract and specification to develop methodology and staffing requirements to meet or exceed contracted requirements.
Ensure equipment and materials are delivered at specified times to conform to work schedule and contract requirements.
Confer with and direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases to prevent delays.
Confer with personnel and union / workforce representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within work force.
Confer with engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of equipment and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to contract specifications and the construction schedule is adhered too.
Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
Is responsible for safety performance on the works. Liaises with ‘head office’ management to obtain assistance and advice where required.
Ensures quality requirements including MDR requirements are completed.
Other duties as required and agreed between the Company and the Appointed Person.
Controls expenditure within limitations of contract budgets.
Controls variations and prepares claims
Prepares interim and completion project progress and financial reports.
Ensure all incidents are reported in a timely and effective manner.
Carry out effective incident investigation with identification of all root causes.
Implement effective change management controls
ABOUT YOU
Minimum 3-5 year(s) of working experience in a similar role.
Fabrication and Welding background is highly preferred.
Proven experience in managing site operations and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Experience with utilising SAP software is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and comfortable able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Highly driven and organised individual
Natural passion for leadership and ability to motivate and drive your team.
Intermediate to advanced computer and data base skills including MS Office Suite.
