About Us

SmartCare Diagnostics is a privately owned clinic offering a wide range of bulk-billed diagnostic services, including cardiac, respiratory, and sleep testing. With established testing locations in Springfield Lakes and Upper Mt Gravatt, alongside three satellite sites in Taringa, Capalaba, and North Lakes, we are actively planning to expand our network of satellite clinics. Our primary focus is on providing outstanding patient care.

Our team is composed of experienced Emergency, Cardiology, and Respiratory Specialists, as well as highly skilled Sonographers, Nurses, and Administrative professionals. Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer service and administrative support to patients, physicians, and staff across our clinic locations.

Responsibilities

  • Reception Duties: Warmly welcome patients, record their arrival, manage appointment scheduling, and effectively handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Correspondence Management: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails (including medical documents), and faxes promptly and accurately. Ensure all patient documentation is scanned and imported into the practice software.
  • Financial Transactions: Provide patients with billing information, issue invoices and receipts, process payments accurately, and ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain electronic patient records, including investigations/ results and other pertinent information, in compliance with clinic policies and privacy regulations. Generate daily reports detailing any incidents or safety concerns.
  • General Duties: Perform routine administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and stocking supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and waiting areas.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to changing demands and assist in various areas of the clinic as needed. Complete daily checklists before the end of each shift.
  • Support Medical Practitioners: Assist healthcare professionals in delivering optimal patient care and contribute to achieving positive patient outcomes.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other reasonable tasks delegated by management to support clinic operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using multiple software programs and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a medical receptionist role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is advantageous.

Job Type: Part-time/Casual

Schedule: 9-hour/half-day shifts

Location *IMPORTANT*: Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to work between existing and upcoming clinic sites.

Work Authorization: Authorization to work in Australia required.

Pay: $46,535.37 – $70,000.00 per year
