Tasks & responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the motel, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the property.
- Manage staff schedules, supervise employees, and provide training and support as needed.
- Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations efficiently.
- Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and coordinate with vendors for procurement.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain guests.
- Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, expense tracking, and revenue reporting.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Oversee property maintenance and address issues such as repairs or upgrades promptly.
- Prepare occupancy and financial reports for owners or stakeholders.
- Foster a positive work environment and resolve staff conflicts effectively.
- Ensure security and safety measures are in place for guests and staff.
- Build relationships with local businesses and community groups to promote the motel.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality or motel management sector or relevant qualifications in business or management.
- Willing to relocate to country NSW.
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering excellent service.
- Proficiency in using property management software and tools.
- Competence in budgeting, reporting, and financial management.
- Willingness to relocate to a regional area and embrace the local lifestyle.
- Familiarity with hospitality regulations and best practices
