ASA AUTO&BODYWORKS PTY LTD t/as AUTOTECH COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE is seeking multiple full-time motor mechanics to join its team at its Thomastown VIC location. This is an exciting role and a chance to work in a very rewarding environment.
Benefits
The salary on offer is between $74,000 - $75,000 plus super and is commensurate with qualifications and/or experience.
Tasks & responsibilities
The duties of the role include:
-Diagnose faulty parts
-Check motors that are running, road test motor vehicles, and test automotive systems and components using testing devices to find the problem in the vehicle
-Review automotive work orders
-Change, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including fuel, brake, steering and suspension systems, transmissions, differentials, drive axles and shafts, emission control and exhaust systems, engines and electricals, cooling and climate control systems by using hand tools and other automotive repair equipment
-Test and change repaired systems to the required standards
-Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups
-Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements
-Follow Safety procedures at all times
-Ensure each process is followed in accordance with the workshop operations to meet minimum equipment downtime objective at all times
-Assisting with ordering spare parts according to work required
Qualifications & experience
Candidates must possess at least a Certificate III in a relevant field with at least 1 to 2 years of experience, or a Certificate IV (or equivalent) in an automotive field.
