SA Crash Auto Body Repairs (Hendon SA 5014) is seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles, ensuring they are kept in top condition and running smoothly. Tasks & responsibilities
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed.
- Test vehicle systems and components to diagnose faults in engines and parts.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service and advise customers on recommended repairs
Qualifications & experience
- Formal qualifications in Automotive Technology/Mechanics, at least at Certificate III level
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment rewards given.
- Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
