MOTOR MECHANIC

Task & Responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies and other components.
• Repair and replace worn and defective parts.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services.
• Reassemble engines and parts after repair.
• Test and adjust mechanical parts for proper performance.
• Diagnose and test parts with computers. 
• Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates.
• Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls. 
• Service and repair braking systems. 
• Service and repair cooling systems. 
• Repair, remove, and replace transmissions.

Qualification & Experience

• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology from an Australian authority.
• 1-2 years of local Australian experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Ability to diagnose and repair automotive electrical and mechanical issues.
• Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicle makes and models.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
