Multi-Skilled Operator - Isaac Downs

Operating in several countries throughout the world, this opportunity as a qualified and experienced Multi-Skilled Operator to join us in the Australian operation working at the Isaac Downs Mine in Moranbah, Queensland.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for safe and efficient operations of our fleet which includes: 

• Graders: Cat 16M, 18M, 24M

• Dozers: Cat D10, D11 

• Loaders: Cat 988 

Responsibilities include: 

• Operating at least one of plant equipment listed above within capacity of machinery. 

• Ensuring plant is operated safely and in accordance with Company procedures. 

• Ensuring plant is treated with respect, kept in a serviceable and clean condition, and operated safely in accordance with procedures and OEM specifications. 

• Accident damage reporting.

• Conducting thorough pre-start inspections on equipment and vehicles before use. 

• Reviewing allocated tasks and suggesting improvements to carrying out the work. 

• Participation in continual improvement activities. 

• Participation in safety investigations and associated reports and recommendations and implement corrective and preventative actions. 

• Conducting regular work area inspections. 

• Ensure plant is treated with respect, kept in a serviceable and clean condition, and operated safely in accordance with procedures and OEM specifications. 

• Conducting thorough pre-start inspections on equipment and vehicles before use. 

• Reviewing the tasks allocated and suggest improved methods of carrying out work. 

• Participating in continual improvement activities. 

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment, as well as autonomously. 

• Demonstrated positive commitment to safety and safe operation of heavy machinery. 

• Strong communication skills.

Essential

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based multi-skilled operator role within the mining industry.

• Relevant RIIs and signed competency reports of relevant equipment.

• Surface Coal Mining Induction QLD (Standard 11).

• Current Australian Drivers Licence.

• QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment or willingness to complete along with a Pre-Employment Medical.
