Tassal has an exciting opportunity, and we are looking to engage with candidates for the role of National Business Manager - Foodservice. This is a great time to be part of a growing team, operating within an Industry leading business in Aquaculture, you will have the opportunity to drive and shape your career guided and supported by seasoned professionals.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to manage all aspects of our Foodservice channel. The role is pivotal for meeting sales and gross profit targets and candidates must offer solid commercial acumen. This opportunity will see you diving deep into market trends, competitor insights, and customer feedback to spot and cultivate new business opportunities within the customer and distributor base. You will demonstrate resilience and confidence whilst bringing a strong commitment to Tassal’ vision and strategy.

Our ideal candidate will come from a background that has involved the Food industry, not necessarily Seafood however ideally exposure to protein-based products.

This is a full-time position located at our brand-new office in the convenient Sydney Olympic Park precinct. Ideally you will have the below experience however please apply even if you don’t, we love developing people.

  • Substantial knowledge of both Sales and FMCG sectors, with a flair and passion for negotiation.
  • Prior experience working with dynamic teams, operating at pace in a business that is focussed on continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing innovative solutions and thinking strategically to maximise opportunities.
  • Leadership and coaching qualities as this role will have two direct reports.

What can you bring?

  • Experience in national account sales, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry or similar consumer-centric markets.
  • Exposure to key National industry distributors (e.g. PFD, Countrywide) will be essential in building future success.
  • Applicants need to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, with a track record of developing and implementing strategic sales plans.
  • Strategic insight and practical approach to problem-solving and are eager to transform challenges into opportunities.
  • A genuine passion for customer service is important, along with the ability to cultivate trusting, collaborative, and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills are a must, along with a consultative approach to influencing others using compelling facts and data.
