THE ROLE
The NDIS Team Leader at Focus Care plays a critical role in providing operational leadership and guidance for the NDIS team, in the delivery of services to the NDIS / ACIS participants, consistent with their entitlements and care needs, ensuring that we maintain compliance with the relevant NDIS/ACIS legislation and standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
You will be responsible for:
- Participant Care – Proactively review participant care needs, consistent with NDIS/ACIS standards, making necessary recommendations and referrals, while advocating in need, to ensure appropriate participant care is delivered.
- Compliance – To ensure the services being provided (including support plans, incident management, care services) are in compliance with the relevant NDIS/ACIS regulations. Additionally, to proactively maintain industry knowledge to ensure that both anticipated and enacted changes to the relevant NDIS/ACIS practice standards, are reflected in the Focus Care practices/services and policies to remain compliant compliance.
- Business Growth - To actively work in collaboration with the business development team in progressing participant leads, onboarding and intake of new participants.
- Risk Management – To manage risk in the delivery of services to participants, ensuring that services being delivered are within Focus Care scope of practice, that support workers are equipped with appropriate training and information on participant care needs, remaining safe in the performance of their roles.
- Financial Management – Proactively monitor and review participant service budgets internally and with participants, ensuring that existing and proposed services remain within allocated budget parameters. Any discrepancies should be proactively identified and resolved, balancing the needs of the participant with the associated company financial impacts.
- Leadership – To provide team leadership for direct reports, inspiring, supporting and creating an environment where each team member feels valued and empowered to contribute their best, contributing more broadly to the growth of the business and development of the business culture.
- Support Worker Management - Contribute input into support worker recruitment / management, including recruitment allocation and performance feedback.
- Case Management - To maintain direct case management of complex participants, ensuring services are provided to a high standard, consistent with Focus Care policies and relevant NDIS/ACIS standards.
