Established for over 40 years Melfab Engineering has a broad range of resources including both conventional and CNC machining and fabricating. We supply to customers from the Chemical and Petro Chemical, Gas, Cable, Mining, Steel & Reinforcing Manufacturing industries. We have a strong customer and support base with modern and efficient equipment.

About the role

The position would involve programming and operating our OKUMA CNC 3 and 4 Axis lathes and Okuma 3 and 5 Axis Mills. All machines are of the latest technology.

Benefits and perks

This is a full-time permanent position for afternoon shift with base hours of 38 hours per week, with regular overtime at penalty rates and shift loading.

Wages are above award level.(Rates based on experience). Generous bonus based on performance.

Skills and experience

To be successful candidates need to possess the following:

• Fitter and Turner trade qualifications essential

• CNC 3 & 4 Axis Lathe & Mill experience - OKUMA IGF programming experience

• On our premises we have the following CNC Machines:

  • Okuma MB-56VA S15 vertical mill

  • Okuma Genos M460 5AX

  • CNC Lathe LB4000EX-MYCX 750 4 Axis Lathe

  • CNC Lathe L3000-eM 3 Axis Lathe

• Ability to understand, interpret and machine from drawings/specifications is essential for this role
