2 Bro’s Painting Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced painter to join our growing team. This full-time role offers the chance to work across a variety of residential and commercial painting projects throughout Victoria.

Task & responsibilities

•    Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and patching holes or cracks to ensure a smooth, even base for paint application.

•    Paint interiors and exteriors of homes and commercial buildings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers, depending on the surface and finish required.

•    Mix and match paints to get the right shades and finishes as per project or client requirements, ensuring consistency throughout.

•    Apply primers, sealers, and multiple coats when needed, always aiming for a high-quality, long-lasting finish.

•    Set up equipment and protect work areas using drop sheets, masking tape, and other protective gear to avoid unwanted paint splashes or damage.

•    Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to stay on schedule, follow job briefs, and adapt to changing priorities on-site.

•    Give basic advice to clients on colors, finishes, and application methods when needed, maintaining a professional and friendly attitude.

•    Occasionally apply wallpaper, making sure patterns align cleanly and edges are finished properly for a neat look.

Qualification & experience

• At least 2-3 years of hands-on painting experience with a solid understanding of on-site expectations.
• Minimum Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, showing you’ve got formal training in industry-standard techniques and safety practices.
• Strong working knowledge of painting methods, tools, and materials, including surface prep, different paint types, and application techniques.
• Detail-oriented with a high standard of workmanship, always aiming for a clean, polished, and professional finish.
• Flexible team player who can also take initiative and work independently when required
• Comfortable working at heights and in changing weather conditions, with a focus on safety and care at all times.
