Painting Trades Worker

We are currently seeking two (2) qualified and experienced Painting Trades Workers to join our team based in Lara. This role involves a broad range of residential and commercial painting work with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes and excellent customer satisfaction.

1. Preparing surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks.
2. Applying protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
3. Mixing and matching paint colours and shades to achieve the desired result.
4. Erecting scaffolding and ladders as required for job access.
5. Performing touch-ups and ensuring clean, tidy finishes.
6. Cleaning equipment and work areas.
7. Interpreting work orders and specifications to determine painting requirements.

Additional Duties Specific to the Role:

1. Sanding, cutting in, brushing, and painting windows.
2. Rolling walls and ceilings.
3. Patching, gapping, and detailed prep work.
4. Working on a variety of residential interior and exterior painting projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (essential)
2. White Card (Construction Induction Card – essential)
3. Trade-qualified with solid experience in residential painting
4. Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (preferred)
5. Own basic painting tools
6. Presentable, professional appearance
7. Able to work independently and in a team environment
8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
9. Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
