About the Role

Hastings Deering is on the hunt for a Parts Supervisor to join our team in Mackay Hose Room. This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role working out of our Connors Road Facility.  

As a Parts Supervisor, you will:

  • Drive continuious improvement of safety culture and performance metric throughout area of accounabilty

  • Link with Parts Subject Matter Expert (SME) managers to implement standard business processes and priorities

  • Ensure parts OTIF meets targeted levels and are acceptable for both customers and management

  • Ensure parts DCAL meet budget levels and are acceptable to both customer and management

  • Ensure Parts and Hose Shop operations are adequately supervised, staffed and skilled to deliver accurate and timely service, support and expertise to the customer to obtain maximum value from the Caterpillar product

  • Maintain good communications and working relations within the Business Unit, the Company, Caterpillar and Customers, ensuring all parties are kept up to date and informed on matters requiring their involvement

  • Drive Caterpillar Production System (CPS) culture throughout parts operation through projects and continuous improvement

  • Assist in the marketing and sales of parts

  • Maintain parts systems functions

  • Personnel supervision

About You

A successful teammate will have experience in:  

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, accounting or business studies and/or trade qualified is desirable

  • Exposure to a similar industry and logistical challenges at a management level

  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role within a diversified company

  • Comprehensive understanding of the business systems and processes that we operate

  • Extension background on the caterpillar parts system

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication and leadership skills
