As a Pastrycook, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts while ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. You will also manage ingredient inventory, liaise with suppliers, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

The ideal candidate should hold a Certificate III in Cookery or Patisserie and in any case possess equivalent practical experience in a commercial pastry kitchen. A strong background in pastry preparation, baking, and decorating is essential, along with demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, high-quality patisserie or bakery environment.
Candidates should have proficiency in pastry-making techniques, including dough handling, cake decoration, and chocolate work. A deep understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations is required to maintain strict compliance with industry standards.
Additionally, the role demands strong attention to detail and creativity in designing and presenting visually appealing pastries. The ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak production times, is crucial.
Experience in inventory management, ingredient procurement, and supplier coordination is an advantage. Candidates with a background in training and supervising junior pastrycooks or apprentices will be highly regarded.
