About the Role:

Personal Care Workers assist in delivering indirect and/or direct resident support, maintaining a high quality of care and optimising Resident’s choices and wellbeing in a holistic manner. This is undertaken in in the homelike environment in accordance with the values and policies of St Louis Nursing Home and the St Louis Code of Conduct. Personal Care Workers at St Louis Nursing Home report to the Registered Nurse on duty, and the Nursing Home Manger.

Professional qualifications are a necessity, but a genuine desire to be a care worker is an important quality that enables us to continue to foster the family environment that we have.

We are looking for an experienced Personal Care Worker to join our St Louis Aged Care team.

Qualifications / Experience / Clearances:

  • Certificate III or above in Individual Support (Ageing)

  • Knowledge of compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards

  • Previous experience within the Aged Care/Disability Sector

  • Flu Vaccination ongoing requirement

  • Overseas Criminal Convictions Statutory Declaration (form will be supplied during onboarding)

  • National Police Clearance

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Genuine commitment to the care and respect for the elderly residents

  • Previous experience working in an Aged Care facility or health-related work 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A team player and interpersonal skills
