St Elizabeth Home are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Wellbeing/Lifestyle Officer to assist with delivering culturally safe and inclusive activities for our residents on a fulltime basis within our facility in Dean Park, NSW.

Task & Responsibilities

These activities will be tailored to represent the cultural, linguistic and spiritual needs of our residents to enhance their emotional, social, physical and mental wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of holistic and leisure-based activities and programs to assist residents with social development and promote a sense of wellbeing.
  • Encourage and assist individuals to actively participate in facility activities based on their interests and abilities. 
  • Monitor the health and condition of participants throughout the activities and report any changes or concerns to the care team.
  • Evaluate and review programs, seek feedback on activities, and make adjustments as required, ensuring individual needs are being addressed.
  • Assist with training and supervising volunteers and staff.
  • Assist with and promote cultural and religious celebrations and activities within St Elizabeth.

Qualification & Experience

To qualify for further consideration, you will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for the industry, a solid, relevant, working history and the below skills and attributes:

Skills & Experience:

  • A relevant (aged care, allied health or leisure) AQF Cert III or higher qualification preferred OR a minimum of 1 year recent and relevant, fulltime, experience (must include exposure to and/or experience in the responsibilities shown above).
  • Ability to converse in Hungarian preferred due to the cultural and linguistic requirements of the residents.
  • Experience in delivering and promoting engagement in a variety of programs to promote wellbeing.
  • National Police Clearance and Banning Order Clearance.
  • Knowledge of the accreditation standards and a commitment to quality care.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Respectful, caring and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute as a valued member of the team.
  • Physically fit for the inherent requirements of the role.
  • Ability to work varied hours as required.
  • Great attitude!
