Plant Operator & Truck Driver 

Ford Earthmoving is looking for experienced, suitably qualified and motivated plant operators/truck drivers for civil works throughout Canberra and the surrounding regions.

The position:

• Mobile plant operation of a range of plant, including but not limited to bobcats, excavators, loaders, graders, rollers.
• Truck driving (including loading/unloading machinery as required) - minimum HR licence required, HC preferred.
• Manual labour such as laying of pipes and head walls, manual digging as required, washing vehicles/plant and support in the maintenance of vehicles/plant.
• Based out of Sutton NSW and servicing a wide area in Canberra surrounds.
• Pay rate negotiable based on skills and experience, above award rate  (Building and Construction General On-Site Award).
• Permanent full time and casual positions available.

The successful applicant will have:

• Must have: 5+ years experience in operating mobile plant including bobcat, excavators (3t +) and rollers including final trim/finish.
• Must have: current Heavy Rigid truck licence (non synchromesh), with extensive experience driving HR+ sized trucks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of, and adherence to relevant WHS policies and procedures.
• Ability and willingness to perform various manual labour tasks.
• A diesel fitting qualification will be highly regarded, and paid accordingly (but not essential for the position).
