Peter Sadler Removals & Logistics is a family owned and operated logistics business operating out of 2x 9000 square metre warehouses in Laverton North. We have a 150 headcount, which compromises of Employees and Subcontractors.  People are at the forefront of our business, and we are driven to help people develop and succeed 

We specialise within various segments of the logistics industry including the following.

  • Residential furniture removals.

  • Commercial furniture movements.

  • Beverage Delivery

  • Third Party Logistics.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable, and driven PM Operations Supervisor to join our growing team

The business continues to grow from strength to strength. Your role will support the larger transport operations team. Leading staff, managing ad hoc enquiries from customers,data entry to create KPIs, prioritising tasks, using your operations experience to best help our staff execute the job on a day to day basis. This role is for someone who is energetic and no scared of a challenge. Work hours are 12pm - 8pm Monday to Friday 

Job tasks and responsibilities:

Leadership: 

  • leading by example in front of staff at all times 

Communication: 

  • Communicating with on road staff, broader operations team, sending daily wraps of events and issues that have occured 

  • Letting our customers know expected delivery times, delays and any other issues that arise 

Safety/OHS/Culture/HR:

  • Leads by example the safety culture and actively participates by offering suggestions to the OHS officer.

  • Report all HR issues to management.

  • Actively discussing Health and safety issues with staff where necerssary 

  • Comply with COR requirements under HVNL.

Communication / Goal Setting:

  • Involvement in regular Operations meetings: General Toolbox, etc.

Skills and experience

  • Transport Operations Experience preferred but not necessary 

  • Supervisor or leadership experience 

  • Ability to work within effectively with teams and team members 

  • Excellent communication at all levels

  • Ability to identify & solve problems or issues within the workspace 

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to follow OH&S guidelines and operating procedures
