This Portfolio Manager/Senior Portfolio Manager is a member of CBUS Asset Allocation Team responsible for managing the research agenda of the CBUS Dynamic Asset Allocation program. This new senior position has responsibility for fundamental research underpin trade ideas generation across multiple asset classes for the CBUS DAA portfolios.
Key expertise required for the role includes a sound understanding of Fundamental, Valuation, Policy, Momentum/Technical factors affecting the risk and return outlook from a Relative Equities, Bonds, Foreign Currency and Commodities perspective across key countries/regions of the world. As an experienced member of the team, the role offers considerable scope for the successful candidate to help shape and manage the CBUS Asset Allocation’s DAA portfolio.
To be successful in this role you will have substantial years of investment experience in macro research and idea generation with a track record in managing global macro portfolios. In addition, a robust understanding of key factors that are likely to influence the outlook for asset classes is essential. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to liaise across a wide range of investment professionals both internally and externally will be a core component of this role.
- Extensive portfolio construction and risk management experience in global financial markets with a proven track record in investment decision making and management of large sophisticated multi-asset class institutional portfolios.
- Deep and broad financial market and asset allocation knowledge, likely gained through working in an investment strategy or asset allocation function within a fund manager or a superannuation fund.
