Position for a Motor Mechanic – Full time

Description of the Position to be filled: Undertake motor vehicle services, carry out repairs of engines, the transmission, the suspension systems as well as undertake electronic diagnostics at a efficient and professional manner. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform Tyre changing, wheel alignment and wheel balance
• Discuss problems with car owners to discover faults, listen to engines and operate special

test equipment and test drive vehicles to ascertain faults.

• Determine cause & effect of identified problems and determine best course of action
• Repair and replace worn and faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines,

transmission, differentials or steering gear etc

• Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts or assemblies
• Use of proper tools to make sure they are working properly and put them back into the

vehicle.

• Perform preventive maintenance such as checking fluid levels, brake systems, steering,

generating ignition, and electrical wiring systems.

• Tune engines using special electronic equipment and make fine adjustments.
• Diagnose, repair and replace engine management/fuel injection components.
• Use of electronic test equipment to locate and correct malfunctions in lighting, instrumentation,

electronic fuel injection, ignition and emissions control systems.

• Perform administrative tasks such as completion of vehicle details on Job Sheet and ensue all

purchase invoices are properly attached with the Job Sheets

• Maintain proper and safe keeping of all tools and equipment and ensure hazardous substances are

disposed appropriately.

• Follow occupational health and safety practices

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

• Certificate IV in Motor Mechanism from a recognised institute in Australia.
• Valid driving license
• Communication skills
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the same industry
• Ability to carry out tasks with “can-do” attitude and positivity is highly desirable

• Annual Gross Salary package of range from AUD 70,000 to AUD 75,000 plus Super awaits the right
