Rubix Support provide support to people aged between two years to sixty-five years old. We are a registered provider under the NDIS and provide services across four main areas - positive behaviour support, sexuality and relationship education, support coordination and lifestyle support. We are focused on evidenced based best practise and are passionate about achieving positive outcomes for the people we support. We are looking for people who have values similar to ours and a strong rights-focused approach to supporting and working with people who display complex behaviour to join the Rubix Support team in a Full or Part Time capacity. The OpportunityAs a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner, you will:Conduct observations, collect data and work directly with an individual to understand why they are displaying behaviour that others find challengingDevelop comprehensive functional behaviour assessments that are centred on an individual’s goals and aspirationsWrite reports that address the referral purpose in user-friendly formatsMaintain documented evidence to demonstrate your process and support your recommendationsDevelop visual aids that are reflective of the support needs of the individual and the targeted audienceUse your knowledge and skills to ensure that the individual’s goals are being achieved through relationship building, advocacy and supportWork closely with an individual’s family and support networkProvide training to staff and families around positive behaviour support and assist in the implementation of this practiceCommunicate professionally and be responsive when working with external providers within complex care teamsBe able to work independently in remote settings but maintain contactHave strong administrative and record keeping skills, ensuring adherence to privacy and confidentially legislation What We Offer: ● Reasonable claimable hour targets, so that you can focus on providing a high-quality service to individuals and continue with your professional development as a clinician● Tailored caseloads, matching to your strengths, interests, and location● Generous remuneration that reflects your qualifications and experience● A daily travel allowance● Induction and orientation program to set you up for a long term career as a PBS practitioner with us● MacBook and iPhone provided to support you to work flexibly, whether it is from home, a café between visits or from our Ivanhoe East offices● Regular and ongoing mentoring, support and development though team meetings, reflective practice opportunities, training sessions, peer support, shadow visits and 1:1 supervisions that are well above the current industry standards.● Ability to salary sacrifice into Superannuation● Work within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team who support your growth as a clinician.● Clear career development pathways to develop your skills as a practitioner in a variety of settings, or even develop your own leadership potential● Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and resources to support your wellbeing. The opportunity to work within an established and highly experienced team, with our advanced PBS practitioners each having an average 15 years’ experience working within behaviour support. About YouWe are looking for someone who:● Registered Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Speech Pathologist, Developmental Educator (with a current membership with DEAI), or other professional with experience supporting people with a disability who may present behaviours that challenge. ● Well-developed report writing skills in behaviour support strategies and assessments● Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of the support needs of people with disability ● Hold a Victorian Drivers Licence and a willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes (daily travel allowance is provided).● Well-developed communication (both oral and written) skills with the ability to prepare reports and correspondence in clear and concise language ● Well developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to liaise effectively with a wide range of participants, their families, community agencies and other professionals.● A focus on supporting someone to increase their quality of life through self-determination and person-centred thinking● Strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing needs in an efficient manner.● The ability to work autonomously and cooperatively as part of a larger a care team. Screening Criteria:  NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance Current Working with Childrens Check -Employee Proof of Australian working rights Completion of NDIS Commissions’ Worker Orientation Module Two (2) professional referees
