About the role

We have one Poultry Trailer Cleaner positions available at Burton SA, 5110. Night Shift

• Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 1:30AM to 9:30AM

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of poultry transport trailers.

• Remove organic matter, feathers, dirt, and debris from trailers using approved cleaning tools and equipment

• Apply approved disinfectants and sanitisers according to biosecurity and food safety regulations.

• Operate high-pressure washers, foaming systems, and other industrial cleaning equipment.

• Adhere to Lustra’s and our client's Food Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.

• Follow GMP requirements, including proper hygiene practices, PPE use, and controlled access to restricted areas.

• Maintain accurate cleaning records, sanitation checklists, and compliance logs in accordance with ISO 9001 QMS requirements.

• Report any biosecurity risks, hygiene concerns, or deviations from cleaning protocols to supervisors.

• Carry out all sanitation practices according to company policies and applicable health regulations and laws.

• Manual Handling of Dangerous Goods

Requirements

• Availability to work NIGHT SHIFT Monday to Friday and weekends with minimal overtime on the spot if required.

• Available to work rotational roster over 7 days.

• Previous cleaning experience within the food environment (preferred but *not essential*)

• Must be physically fit.

• No VISA working restrictions.

• Comfortable with handling raw poultry

• Chemical Awareness or the willingness to learn.

• Willing to work with hazardous chemicals; PPE and training provided.

• Be prepared to undergo medical screening.

• Successful candidates must agree to a Police Clearance Check prior to commencement of role.
