About the role:
The Principal ICT Sourcing and Procurement Officer is responsible for the overall commercial management of the Enterprise Technology Branch ICT consumed products and services.
The role is responsible for managing various commercial elements including but not limited to hosting agreements, procurement of services and software licencing arrangements.
The role has a focus on achieving beneficial commercial outcomes for the department, through industry knowledge and advanced negotiation skills and experience.
In addition to assisting with the establishment of new commercial arrangements the role will be responsible for performing detailed analysis into the departments current agreements and determine strategies to increase value and reduce costs through product and service redundancy, consolidation, volume discounts, along with other techniques.
The role will also support Enterprise Technology Branch delivery teams in understanding various product and service pricing models, enabling accurate cost estimations and forecasts.
