Wood is recruiting a Principal Structural Engineer as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. You will join our Operations business in a pivotal role as we partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract. Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent role and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Lead Structural Engineer, you will step up and into a dedicated client contract team. You will balance technical, team, client, and project leadership across onshore gas plants (including LNG) and offshore gas and condensate production facilities and thrive on the challenge of:
In this highly visible client facing role, your dual focus on relationships and delivery will be essential. Anticipating client needs beyond the immediate scope, you will drive technical excellence and assurance on the Structural engineering portion, while enabling the ongoing growth and development of your team. You will also work in close partnership with other disciplines and the client to enable robust technical decisions that ultimately add value to the client and asset portfolio.

Qualifications
You will be able to work lawfully in Australia and hold full working rights for this location. If you have a visa application in progress, you are also encouraged to apply.
Suitably qualified in Structural Engineering from a recognized institution, ideally you will have proven experience working in a similar Principal Structural Engineering role, supported by 12+ years of relevant design engineering experience within the Oil & Gas production and / or processing industries.
