We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Process Engineer to join our Engineering and Planning team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth on a Permanent Full Time Basis.

Reporting to the Lead Process & Functional Safety Engineer, you will play a key role in providing leadership, management and technical input for process design works within the Stay In Business (SIB) capex project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake process engineering design to achieve timely and efficient completion of SIB capex project portfolio.
  • Taking ownership for technical delivery of the project design objectives;
  • Managing the design progress and providing regular updates on design schedule and cost;
  • Ensure competent technical advice is provided for the design for successful operation of APA assets;
  • Working across teams to support new initiatives and processes driving continuous improvement, including emissions reductions

Your Background

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Process or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the requirements of Australian and international standards in the fields of process engineering for gas transmission systems will be highly regarded
  • Appreciation of State and Australian legislation governing gas transmission and applications including HSE requirements
  • Experience in participating and/or leading HAZOPs, and other risk assessments highly regarded
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in gas transmission, petrochemical or relevant industries

The Infrastructure Projects team builds physical projects that minimise risks, reduce costs and improve the operability of APA's assets.

Infrastructure Projects is a passionate multi-discipline design and delivery team, covering engineering and project management. The team delivers projects across APA's asset base from natural gas transmission, power generation, renewables and electricity transmission. These projects ensure APA's assets keep up with expectations of customers, the community and APA's vision to be world class.
