Process Engineer
Position overview:We are looking for a skilled Process/Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brisbane or in Hagen. The ideal candidate will contribute to designing, optimising, and scaling up of mechanical and process engineering solutions for our expansion project in Hagen. You will play a crucial role in designing, constructing and commissioning our first pCAM plant.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting into the Project team, working in close cooperation with the Process Lead, external consultants, internal operational personnel and the internal process team to finalise the detailed design of the expansion project. Develop engineering documents, including technical calculations, required for tender packages.Develop and review process / mechanical engineering documents (Process Design Criteria, P&IDs, layout plans, datasheets, etc.)Contribute to the project including design, modelling, procurement, installation and commissioning as part of the project team. Opportunity to be part of the production plant post commissioning. Support of further projects at other sites (Germany, Europe, worldwide).
The following qualifications/experiences are preferred:
Engineering degree in the field of metallurgical/chemical engineering or mechanical engineering. At least 5 years of experience in the field of chemical process engineering environment, ideally with project or operational experience.Experience in hydrometallurgy plant design. Industrial process or battery chemical processing background is advantageous.Knowledge of process modelling would be a bonusExperience in Safety and Risk Assessment activities (HAZOP, HAZID, etc.)Experience in dealing with external engineering consultants, suppliers, and construction contractors is beneficial.Fluent in English required, knowledge of German beneficial Reliable, team-oriented and have a "hands-on" mentality with strong focus on safety.Your approach to work is proactive, systematic, results-oriented and flexible with strong focus on finding solutions to any problem.
