The ACJV consortium, which includes the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture, has been appointed Preferred Proponent to design and construct the transmission line infrastructure for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), as part of Australia’s energy transition, outlined in the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state’s newly legislated Net Zero targets.

Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to share their expertise within our growing Procurement team. The role is to work within the construction and administration teams to manage timely supply of materials and services for the specific project in order to facilitate the best possible project outcome with respect to cost, time and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with commercial manager, Project planner and construction team on a regular basis to ensure timely purchase of required materials and services.
Manage the contract tender process including issue of documentation for bid packages ensuring that all documentation include invitation letter, scope, drawings, specification etc.
Carry out commercial analysis of quotations and provide recommendations.
Assist in the awarding and execution of all contracts including chairing of pre-start meetings.
Research products / pricing as required and make recommendations on purchasing.
Actively participate in identifying project / procurement risks and finding solutions.
Act, if requested, to place orders from requisitions prepared by construction team.
Ensure orders are followed up as necessary for timely delivery to work site.
Overview the set-up and running of on-site store.
Liaise with cost control manager on maintenance of ACEREZ asset register.
Assist as necessary with compiling of data for monthly reporting.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Previous procurement experience on a large civil construction project in NSW preferred.
Experience with working on remote site within NSW
Experience working on PPP or Transmission line projects.
