Anglicare Southern Queensland are currently seeking to hire a Procurement Officer (Fleet and Assets) to join our Procurement team based at our corporate office in the heart of Fortitude Valley.

As part of the Procurement Team, the Procurement Officer will support the Procurement Manager to provide a broad range of operational services related to the procurement of goods and services and the management of contracts to enable the efficient and effective operation of Anglicare Southern Queensland. While the accountability for spend lies with the operational budget holders, the Procurement team will work collaboratively at a cross-functional level with operational budget holders to assist them in achieving their purchasing requirements effectively, with minimal risk, within budget and in line with the agreed procurement framework.

Under the guidance of the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Officer will coordinate and continuously improve procurement related activities in the best interest the Anglicare Southern Queensland ensuring activities align with the operational needs of the organisation.

Your Role

  • End-to-end management of the fleet including coordination of servicing, repair and claim processing, quotation acquisition and preparation of fleet lease, purchase and hire documentation.
  • Develop and document the fleet lifecycle management framework, including standardised processes, to direct the sourcing and procurement of assets.
  • Analysis and provision of reports and recommendations on fleet and fuel utilisation and activity.
  • Work with external supply relationships to administer the existing and revised contractual arrangements, improving spend, quality of supply and inventory management.
  • Where procurement contracts are due for renewal, provide an analysis and list of options for the contract owner in the organisation to decide on the renewal strategy.
  • Support new procurement projects working effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Support preparation of tender documents and implement procedure for tender in accordance with organisational policy and guidelines.
  • Procurement reporting and analysis, as required.
  • Contribute to regular budget management activities, including capital budgets for Residential Aged Care.
  • Support procurement projects related to new buildings or refurbishments for Residential Aged Care facilities.
  • Maintain fleet databases.
  • Negotiate to purchase or lease new vehicles as required.
  • Provide input in policy decisions regarding fleet management.
  • Arrange for fuel cards and insurance to be up to date on all vehicles.
  • Reporting of excess charges like tolls, fuel, maintenance.
  • Monitoring accidents and insurance with promoting driver safety and accident prevention training.

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Business, Procurement or Contracts Management (desired)
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting cost effective procurement and contract management functions in a complex environment.
  • Understanding of asset specifications, whole of life cost and serviceability in relation to asset selection and procurement.
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing and documenting specifications for asset procurement.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, able to provide succinct reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project (desired).
  • Ability to build positive relationships and to consult and communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, suppliers and stakeholders.

Successful candidates will also need to be able to provide a National Police Certificate and Drivers Licence.
