Role Overview

As Product Growth Manager, you will focus on sourcing, scaling and optimising the performance of new and existing products. The goal is to find, negotiate and manage suppliers to ensure the business continues to grow through product expansion, optimising product choice, quality and profitability, product experimentation and product support for the wider team. 

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation 

  • Identify and onboard reliable suppliers for current and new product categories, ensuring alignment with quality and cost objectives. 
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term partnerships and reliability. 

Product Procurement 

  • Work closely with product managers and category teams to source products that align with market trends and customer demand. 
  • Monitor and manage order quantities, lead times, and delivery schedules to avoid stockouts or overstock. 
  • Ensure all sourced products meet regulatory, safety, and compliance standards.

Cost Management 

  • Continuously analyze cost structures and identify opportunities to improve margins through strategic sourcing. 
  • Implement strategies to minimize procurement costs, including alternative supplier sourcing and bulk purchasing. 

Quality Assurance 

  • Collaborate with quality control teams to conduct product inspections and resolve quality issues. 
  • Ensure that suppliers adhere to agreed-upon quality standards and address any non-compliance issues promptly. 

Market Analysis & Trend Forecasting 

  • Stay updated on market trends, emerging suppliers, and competitive pricing structures.
  • Assess new product opportunities and sourcing channels to enhance the company’s product portfolio. 

Data & Performance Management 

  • Track and analyze supplier performance metrics, including lead time, quality, and cost-effectiveness. 

● Use data insights to make informed sourcing decisions and recommend process improvements.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Retail Buyer in an e-commerce business
  • Strong management and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with experience optimising supplier performance, sales data and product optimization.
  • Fluent in Mandarin to manage our Chinese Supplier
  • Customer-focused, with a commitment to continuously improving the customer experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for experimentation and continuous improvement.
