About The Role As an integral member of the Adelaide Manufacturing Team you will provide clear leadership and direction to your relevant production group. What You’ll Do Carefully monitor labour requirements to ensure that production targets are maintained.Responsible for the effective and efficient of use of labour in your line to ensure production targets are achieved. Monitor, order, control and report on factory consumablesTaking responsibility for the ongoing training and development of all employees under your operational control. Encourage the attainment of EMS Yellow and Green Gear certification for all employees Monitor absenteeism, lateness, efficiency and where required provide counseling and or disciplinary action as required.Carry out performance appraisals for employees under your controlOwn the safety of your people by ensuring all employees are aware and comply with all safety, quality and environmental procedures and practices within your area of work.Ensuring that all new operators or operators that are moved to a different work area are correctly inducted and trained. Having Responsibility for the management of injured workers and their respective work restrictions.Timely completion of any raised Accident/Investigation formPromote continuous improvement including housekeeping and the maintenance of the of the EMS boards using EMS principles Role model behaviors for all employees under their control i.e. integrity, honesty, and keeping to commitments madeConduct team meetings with team leaders and operators on an appropriately regular basis to provide feedback on individual and team performance.Investigate reasons for equipment downtime and put systems in place to achieve reduction.Coaching your Team Leaders Essential Who You Are Supervisory experience in a large/medium manufacturing environment is ideal, however we are open to other industries if you meet the other essential criteriaProven experience in leading, coaching and developing peopleStrong problem solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders across functionsYou have worked in a process driven environment with a strong safety culture Desirable Knowledge of Quality Accreditation (ISO9001 and ISO14001) frameworkUnderstanding of total product assembly processUnderstanding of the Just in Time (Kanban) delivery process Core Competencies Both reactive and proactive, you work efficiently and flexibly to deliver results.
