Job Description About You We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail focussed Program Officer to assist in developing and managing projects and programs that support education and training in emerging sub-specialty and specialty areas, while contributing to governance and regulatory measures for high-quality medical education and training. Job Description The Program Officer, Specialties, is responsible for, but not limited to: Project management and analytical support for specialty projects, specifically in the development of specialist medical education programs. Liaise with key stakeholders through various working groups and committees and provide timely advice and support to internal and external stakeholders on issues relating to specialty practice. Foster collaborative relationships and work cohesively with members, external stakeholders and RANZCR colleagues and peers. Provide secretariat support tor relevant committees including conjoint committee/s, reference groups, and working groups. Conduct verbal presentations to staff, clinical representatives, members and other stakeholders regarding program related activities Contribute to written documents such as reports, budgets, business/workplans and professional documents Deliver accurate and timely project reports, program and policy documents to key stakeholders. Flexibly manage activities related to the role, including planning for out-of-hours’ work and intra/interstate travel. Desired Skills And Experience Desired Skills and Experience Experience working in the education sector, in a not for profit, membership-based organisation and the health care field. Experience working with committees within a clinical governance framework. Tertiary qualifications in education or similar and/or relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in program design and management. Demonstrated high level communication skills, including writing policies, project reports, agendas and minutes. Demonstrated capacity to set and manage competing priorities in a high activity environment and be responsive to a diverse range stakeholders. Highly organised and methodical with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated commitment to high levels of customer service. Intermediate Microsoft Office application skills. Understanding of the Australian and/or New Zealand health systems and medical workforce is desirable. Understanding of MS project or similar project applications is desirable.
