We're looking for a Project Director to join our Delivery Phase Services (DPS) Region to support our growth in Western Australia. 

Reporting to the Business Group Leader and Operations Manager, you will collaborate with our clients on key projects with a focus on renewables and energy storage, asset transition and closures and mining & infrastructure sectors across GHD. These are significant, multidisciplinary projects which tie our technical capabilities into our execution services for major project delivery.  

You will also drive business growth using your industry knowledge, while leveraging established relationships. As we look to transition from traditional energy sources to adopt more renewable alternatives, you can play a key role in enabling and accelerating this change. 

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Working with the Market Leader to support and lead business development, identifying and capturing opportunities for growth and major bid preparation. 
• Full project life-cycle delivery from front end studies through project execution to handover Implementing and ensuring compliance of GHD Health and Safety systems and practices. 
• Accountability for project delivery under models including EPCM, IPMT (integrated project management teams), CMS (construction management services) and OE+ services. 
• Providing project oversight including: 
  • Planning and preparation of all project reporting and deliverables for internal and external clients
  • Provide Project Management expertise and guidance to clients and internal GHD stakeholders
  • Providing leadership and guidance to a project delivery team
  • Supporting design, documentation and construction work across all aspects of engineering through to project execution
  • Managing project risks and associated contingencies 

What you will bring to the team: 

• 20+ years’ relevant experience in major project delivery through delivery models such as EPCM (min $200m CAPEX), preferably with experience in energy transition / renewables
• Demonstrated successful business development experience
• Experience in advising and being accountable for multidisciplinary project teams and construction management in projects
• Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written
• Embrace our collective commitment to safety in all aspects of our work
• Bachelor’s degree qualifications preferably in an engineering or construction discipline.
